Freshco is a fully integrated fruit production company. Our orchard operation is based in the sunny Hawkes Bay covering 300 hectares of apples with our sectors in Puketapu, Twyford and Hastings South.

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has become available at Freshco! We are on the hunt for an exceptional ASSISTANT ORCHARD MANAGER to join the Orchard Team in our Puketapu sector.

Key responsibilities:

Working with the Orchard Manager to develop an orchard management plan including crop targets.
Implementing good Health and Safety practices.
Running Orchard teams in a range of tasks.
Ensuring and delivering quality end product that meets crop targets.
Training and mentoring team member’s

The successful candidates will have:

Be self-motivated with passion for Horticulture.
Have great organisational skills.
Have great attention to detail.
Be reliable.
Have a sound knowledge of pip fruit production.
Strong Leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.
Current Full-Drivers Licence.
